Workshops in the Garden Studio
Spend a couple of restorative hours with Sarah in our tranquil garden studio. Surrounded by greenery and natural light, you’ll explore materials, learn simple techniques, and create something uniquely yours.
We also host occasional two‑day workshops led by talented visiting makers. These immersive sessions cover a range of crafts — ceramics, bookbinding, patchwork, machine knitting, and more — offering a deeper dive into traditional skills with a contemporary twist.
Make a Fensend Keepsake
For a memorable highlight of your stay, join one of our small‑group ceramic hand‑building taster sessions (subject to availability). You’ll learn how to form a simple clay piece and experiment with decorative techniques before creating your own sculpture.
Your piece needs time to air‑dry before firing, so it won’t be ready straight away. Instead, a few weeks after your visit, your finished artwork will arrive by post — a lovely reminder of your time here.
Personalised Ceramic Plaques
If you’d prefer a bespoke piece without taking part in a class, we can create a personalised ceramic plaque for you. These make thoughtful gifts and can mark birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion. With enough notice, we can even place your plaque in your accommodation ready for your arrival, adding a meaningful touch to your stay.
